First Timers - this one's for you
Hi! We’ve been operating your friendly neighborhood refill shop for about 4 years now, and we hear a lot of questions about getting started. So we thought we’d walk you through the process step by step.
First - we’re so glad you’re interested in refilling! It can be a really fun way to avoid plastic packaging and make a smaller footprint on the planet. So give yourself a high five, you’re awesome.
Start by taking a look around your home - look for things that you buy frequently in plastic containers like laundry detergent, or dish soap. If you're like most people you probably have a lot! My advice is pick a few things to refill to start - most people start with the big 3: hand soap, dish soap & laundry detergent. Others start in the bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, soap for the shower and body lotion. There’s no wrong way to start!
NOW, you’ll want to prep your containers by washing them thoroughly. Grab a variety of sizes especially if you aren’t exactly sure what you’re filling. Bring a list of what you think you want to fill, but bring a few extra jars for just-in-case purchases.
Here are some ideas for containers you can bring in: mason jars, laundry detergent jugs, shampoo & conditioner bottles, peanut butter jars (my personal fave), or growlers. We’ve seen lots of creative refilling, and WE LOVE IT!!!

When you get to GoGo, our friendly team can walk you through the process. We’ll help you choose earth & body-friendly products that are effective and refillable! Since we are living in a pandemic, our team is doing all of the pumping & filling for you now - so you’ll have a one-on-one experience with a low-waste resource every time you visit.
When you arrive we have a table set up for you to put all of your containers, we’ll have you spray & wipe the outside of the containers with sanitizer before our team fills for you. We’ve learned that you can smell through your mask, so don’t worry! You can choose the products that smell the way you want them to - even if that’s no smell at all. Almost all of our products have an unscented option.
TIME TO FILL!
When you are refilling vs. buying pre-packaged, you can have exactly the amount you want, from sample-size to jumbo - it’s your call. You can’t do that at the grocery store! While we’re filling your containers you can browse our other products; reusables, compostables and other innovative products that help you live low-waste simply & beautifully.
